Dark golden. Tangy, bitter, phenolic and grainy with a hint of fruit. Long finish. Medium body.

$3.85 pint can, WW. Nearly black with a soft brown head. Nose is chocolate, somewhat candied, coffee, roasted malt. Flavor is tons of chocolate, again somewhat candied (but not overly cheap tasting), coffee, roasted malt, cocoa. Somewhat thick, lots of flavor.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a rich, two to three centimetre tall lighter brown glow, all with a fairly clear tint, but a slight opacity towards the top. Aroma of deep roasted malts, nuts, earth, some caramelised sugars and a good amount of peated malt along with some alcohol noticeable. Medium-bodied; Relatively rich and chewy malt backbone shows through everything with a nice nutty and strong sweetness punch right afterwards, all with a hint of lactose, cream and even some cherries towards the end - very nice. Aftertaste shows the grain, a light hit of the lactose and creamy qualities and a subtle hint of caramelised sugars and nutty sweetness from hazlenuts along with a dry bite at the end. Overall, a very nicely balanced and structured porter that hits all the right notes and leaves the palate nice and refreshed, while having a ton of flavours. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle, purchased from Whole Foods in Pentagon City (Arlington), Virginia on 05-October-2020 for US$1,99 sampled at my house here in Washington on 09-May-2021.

Bright gold pour. Thick foam. Sweet nose of strawberries, vanilla, and yeast. Strawberries, vanilla, and light yeast flavor with strawberry and nut palate.

Artificial strawberry nose. Mostly clear copper, thin head. Sweet bread, lemon, and strawberry, a little perfumey. Medium body, easy carbonation.

12 ounce bottle thanks to hershiser2! 4/3/21. Hazy amber, thin creamy white head, good retention. Aroma of pale malt, lactose, fresh berry. Taste is strawberry candy, pale malt, lactose. Medium bodied, on the sweet side. Decent.

Fles 35,5cl thuis. 5,7%. Caramel, hazelnoot, rozijn, wat donker fruit, zoetig, honing, bittertonen, maltig, licht droog. (3-4-2021).

12oz bottle. Poured a clear golden color with a medium sized white head. Aroma was light strawberries, with some sweet notes. A bit more of a creamy blonde with a splash of strawberries. OKay enough, but didn't really hit the exact mark for me.
