Can thanks to adnielsen: Poured a thick black sludge with a brown head. Aroma was very roasty and malty. Taste was strong roast, sweet malt, and light saltiness,

12 ounce can courtesy of my friend Scott. Thanks! Nice twin pack. Pours a dark brown with a thin creamy brown head. Decent head retention. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, minty hops and a meaty note? The taste is chocolate, roasted malts, nutty notes, sweat and shame. Medium bodied, mild lingering bitterness.

Can - shouldn’t this be listed as a Vienna? - anyway - pours a cloudy copper - very spare lacing - doesn’t look that great - nose of nutty and toasty maltiness, some sweet and fruity coffee bean, light caramel - taste is medium bitter, with some sweet, toasted bread maltiness - the coffee is integrated decently into all of this, but there are also some notes of butter and some vegetal notes, as well - eh.

On tap @ Avery Sour Fest 2014. Pours a dark reddish purple appearance with a brown head. The aroma has some grape jam, light wood, and vinegar but it also has some chemical and acetone notes. The chemical notes are even more harsh in the flavor. Burning finish. Acetone. This baby has either completely fallen off the cliff or this is a really bad barrel.

On tap @ Avery Sour Fest 2014. Pours a light, cloudy yellow appearance with a white head. Lemon, light red fruity, berry, a bit herbal, lightly lactic nose. Fairly tart flavor. Fairly low sweetness and minimal bitterness. A bit juicy with some lemony lactic flavor. Finishes tart. Not all that bad.
