Aug 13, 2025 (7/3/6/3/13=3.2): Poured from 500mL bottle (lot 12) from Pommier Ranch. Same notes, but this lot seems to have a hint of something off. Maybe this Pommier Ranch mead product doesn't keep well. Should try to drink them sooner than later.

July 31, 2025 (8/3/7/3/15=3.6): Poured from 200mL bottle (lot 11). Clear white-ish pale blonde with quickly dissipating white head. Intense ginger nose. Taste of ginger, feint honey, light carbonation. Decent. Enjoyable light carbonated mead.

750ml bottle found in Cranbrook, decanted. 20% abv, 2019 edition. Clear gold body. Quite a fruity juniper berry on the nose with soft marzipan and maybe just a little mint. Taste is meaty, slight berry citrus coming through a very warming honey and macadamia nut. Smooth and easy but I was hoping for more prominent juniper.

Bottle found in Cranbrook, 12% abv listed, decanted. Pale straw body with a slight peach hue, no carbonation. Soft apple on the nose along with some slight marzipan and macadamia nut. Taste is honey and apple, slight coconut oil, ends smooth and warming. Well made and easy to drink, could be more bold.

750ml bottle found in Cranbrook, 11.5% abv on the label, decanted. Hazy pale straw body. Very musty aroma, wood funk notes, strong goat cheese, sharp meringue and marzipan as it relaxes. Taste is warming honey, sweet bread, lingering sugar with soft zinfandel hints. Ends dry. Excellent.

Really good foam, translucent body and mellow carbonation. Lots of big fresh ginger on the nose, good acidity, sushi ready. Flavour is all sweet ginger, more ginger, vague honey notes. Nice finish, full and floral. Light years ahead of their hopped up mead and so very refreshing.

500ml bottle found in Kamloops some months ago. It pours with nice carbonation, mellow but strong foam, stormy even and a light translucent antique white body. There's a strong cream aroma, lots of marzipan, almost like a latté and I fail to find any hoppy notes on the nose. Flavour is mellow sweet honey followed by some soft hops; there's a bitterness on the back end that I can't say I like. Still, it's more mead forward and less hop forward and needs more sweetness. I'll manage.
