Bottle at home @ ZZT 2024. Pale golden color, small white head. Aroma remind smell of "Duindoorn bessen" with herbal and spicy influences. Flavor is weird and unpleasant, "trekdrop", weirdness. Barrel aging? Don't get it. Odd and bad. Drainpour.

Bottle at home as "Bourbon barrel aged". Opaque black color, medium to full sized beige, bubbly head. Aroma is malts, dark malts, roasted malts, ash. Flavor is malts, dark and burnt malts, roast, medium bitterness, mostly malty bitter. Not bad, but I don't get bourbon tbh. Still quite alright though.

Bottle at mancave Bunnik tasting. Brown color, average sized off-white head. Smell and taste malts, raisins, brown candy sugar, liquor (I guess port). Pretty solid beer. I like it!

Bottle at home. Brown to red-brown color, virtually no head. Aroma is malts, wood barrel aging clearly. Flavor is malts, tart-ish wood notes, don't get bourbon tbh. Hmm no, this one seems not to have worked out so well imo.

Bottle at home. Opaque black color, medium sized tan to brown colored head. Aroma is malts, brown malts, don't get much more. Distant coffee maybe. Flavor is similar with a firm bitter finish. Lingering malt bitterness. Raw. Old school. Plain and simple. Good.

Bottle at home. A bit hazy pale golden color, white head. Aroma is malts, hops, quite fruity, ripe tropical fruit, mostly ripe oranges and ripe nectarines. Not bad at all. After a while though it becomes quite metallic, quite some iron. Hmm not as good as in the beginning. Decent to medium body, fairly soft though also a bit fizzy carbonation. Okay.

Bottle shared at tasting. Opaque brown to black color, average sized tan head. Smell and taste malts, dark malts, light peat initially, (Dutch) "wiebertjes", but than the peat flavors dominate heavily. Don't get much else. Meh.

Bottle shared at tasting. Opaque black color, small to average sized brown head. Aroma and flavor are malts, heavy peat, peated bitterness, light wmsweet hints in between oddly enough but bitterness in the end wins this battle. Hmm you know, I'm not a "peat-lover" at all, however, this is not bad. It's on the verge of being too much for me, but I think a lot of people will love this.

Bottle shared at tasting. Unclear brown color, red hue when held into the light. Average sized beige head. Aroma is a bit faint, light hints of pinot noir I'd say but probably because I've already read it on the label. Flavor is malts, wine-ish influence, pinot noir again I guess. Hard to describe but I really like it!
