Description
Fat Head's was founded in 1992 as a premiere craft beer tap house and restaurant in Pittsburgh, PA. In 2009 we expanded to Ohio and teamed up with our award-winning Head Brewmaster Matt Cole. With the explosion in popularity came the necessity to open a full-scale production brewery in 2012. Fat Head's Brewery produces original ales and lagers for distribution throughout Ohio and Western Pennsylvania.

Our Tap House offers Samples, Flights, and Fresh-brewed Pints! Sit right in the heart of our facility and enjoy the freshest beer from our tanks to your pint glass. We have a 16 tap draft system, bar seating, picnic tables, and some seriously tasty grub to go with it.

Clear gold pour with a two finger white head. It smells of resinous hops with a little citrus. The flavor is good and hoppy with resin up front and some citrus in a medium bodied beer.

Pour is kind of a cloudy amber with a large white head. Aroma is all thing grapefruit and pine. Flavor is the same. Grapefruit and pine up front with some honeydew melon and a flash of bitterness. Old school all the way. This beer takes me back to 2004. Now if they would only put a date on the can.

12 ounce can. Amber orange color. Rocky beige head. Earthy toasted malt aroma hints at cinnamon, clove and nutmeg. A bit of toasted bread and caramel as well. Warming alcohol in middle. Bittersweet peppery hop finish. Decent.

Orange can for two fitty at vintage. Pour is thick and viscous. Big foaming head on a hazy brew. Taste is big and nasty. Total IPA, bordering on nasty double imperial IPA territory. Has this volatile cloying perfume after-effect on the olfactory after each sip. Weird flowery hops. Nasty nellie. Big balls bastards. Not the biggest balls of them all but pretty large I'd say. If you like IPA, my lower numbers just means you'll love it. Personally, I find this style quite annoying and distasteful. Finishes with a big punch in the face followed up with a kick in the ass long lasting bitterness that just wont quit. Not impressed.

Grass/fresh hay and bready malt aroma. Golden yellow with moderate white head. Mildly sweet bready malt, and moderately bitter weedy hay/quinine flavor. Good body.
