About
Fat Head's was founded in 1992 as a premiere craft beer tap house and restaurant in Pittsburgh, PA. In 2009 we expanded to Ohio and teamed up with our award-winning Head Brewmaster Matt Cole. With the explosion in popularity came the necessity to open a full-scale production brewery in 2012. Fat Head's Brewery produces original ales and lagers for distribution throughout Ohio and Western Pennsylvania.

Our Tap House offers Samples, Flights, and Fresh-brewed Pints! Sit right in the heart of our facility and enjoy the freshest beer from our tanks to your pint glass. We have a 16 tap draft system, bar seating, picnic tables, and some seriously tasty grub to go with it.

Bottle. This sounded like a stupid gimmick so the beer sat in the fridge too long... finally cracked it tonight and was surprised by the weed aroma, but enjoyed it quite a bit. It's dank and stuff, but balances nicely with the malt. Golden color, not much head, in case you care about those details. Pretty solid, nice change of pace from Head Hunter. Wish it were more available.

Fig, prune, chocolate malt, hay and alcohol aroma. Dark amber with small head. Very sweet fig, raisin, candi sugar, caramel malt, and moderately bitter hay and alcohol flavor. Good body. Nice - only a bit boozy.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 1/2/2019. Pours slightly hazy medium golden amber color with a 2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, onion, peppercorn, pine, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Moderate pine, citrus peel.rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, onion, peppercorn, pine, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the the finish for a good bit. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, sticky/resinous/rindy, and fairy crisp balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 6.5%. Overall this is a fantastic IPA. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and fairly crisp to drink, with the moderately bitter/resinous/drying finish, not overly aggressive. Amazing Warrior, Simcoe, Citra, Mosaic profile. Extremely juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy hop complexity; with a great balancing clean pale malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp resin dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and outstanding West Coast style example as expected.

A little too malty for me, but still a good beer.

Bottle. Pours a clean and bright gold with a finger and a half of forth and aromas that are enticing, but maybe a bit underdeveloped. I get some bright resin and passion fruit, but I want more! Flavor is crisp with pine and tropical fruits... kind of a tingly mouthfeel that I like. It's good enough to make me smile, but I think I prefer Head Hunter by a mile!

Must a got this from chalet. Bottle, was hoping for something brown. Almost smells like fermenting orange juice, almost. Very nice sparkling pale clear pour. So fricken rude on the palate up front, an onslaught of big game hops, mouth coating, almost to the level of chewing on a green grapefruit rind soaked inner tube. This is the big guns, its got to be a double imperial IPA. Big fat spiked puncture of the palate. Such an ass kicking brew. Should come with a warning label to alert lager lager lovers, whew. I've been murderrized. Does the tip of my tongue seem to feel a warming alcohol sensation?
