Description
Fat Head's was founded in 1992 as a premiere craft beer tap house and restaurant in Pittsburgh, PA. In 2009 we expanded to Ohio and teamed up with our award-winning Head Brewmaster Matt Cole. With the explosion in popularity came the necessity to open a full-scale production brewery in 2012. Fat Head's Brewery produces original ales and lagers for distribution throughout Ohio and Western Pennsylvania.

Our Tap House offers Samples, Flights, and Fresh-brewed Pints! Sit right in the heart of our facility and enjoy the freshest beer from our tanks to your pint glass. We have a 16 tap draft system, bar seating, picnic tables, and some seriously tasty grub to go with it.

Yep, it’s fruity and full of berries, but while sweet it’s not too much so. There’s some cinnamon and a soft mouthfeel. This works well enough as an easy drinking, fruity, refreshing ale.

From tap at Fat Head’s, Portland. Aroma is malt, caramel, resinous hops, dark bread. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with a fairly bitter finish. Body is medium. Sweetish and bitter, some pleasant hoppy notes. Very decent Red Ale.

From tap at Fat’s Head, Portland. Aroma is bready and wheaty with spicy notes from the wheat, sweet banana. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with a light touch of sourness from the wheat. Body is medium. Okay-ish Hefe, not bad per se but lacks some ’oomph’.

From tap at Fat’s Head, Portland. Aroma is lots of blueberry and lightly malty with more blueberry in the finish. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with a little bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied. A bit onedimensional, simple, but I found it drinkable.

From tap at Fat’s Head, Portland. Aroma is malt, some caramel, biscuit, soft fruity hops, touch of pine, hint of grapefruit. Flavour is above moderate sweet with a bitter finish. Body is medium. Malty and sweetish, hops suggest and IPA but this is quit malt-forward. Good bittersweet flavour.

This beer is pours a clear golden-orange color with a medium frothy bone white head that diminishes gradually to a dense film. Sticky strings of lace. Aroma of resiny hops, citrus and malt. Medium body with flavors of herbal hops, grapefruit and bready malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a dank and resiny hop aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
