Sample at The Daily Growler. Pours brown with some ruby around the edges. Medium tan head that diminishes slowly. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt and fruity hops. Light-bodied with flavors of bready malt, caramel and an odd sweet fruit in the background. The finish is roasty with a fruit and malt aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

Skyview Tasting, 2/23/13. Roasted malt and bourbon, but the bourbon is more prominent in the aroma than the flavor. Medium palate. Bourbon is not overwhelming, which is good.

Sample at the Brews Cafe "Spring Forward" beer festival on 03/09/2013: Clear brownish-amber color with a medium thin beige head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of raspberries and malt. Medium body with a moderately tart raspberry character and flavors of grainy malt and wood. The finish is fruity with a lingering berry aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Sample at the Brews Cafe "Spring Forward" beer festival on 03/09/2013: The beer pours a clear amber color with a medium off-white head that dissipates steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of grainy malt and hops. Medium-bodied with flavors of resiny hops, earthy malt and a bit of citrus. The finish is moderately bitter with a hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall.
