(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of Ungstrup. Clear amber golden with a creamy, beige head. Unclean aroma of British malts and some overripe fruit. Medium body with roated malts, burned caramel and unclean fruit accents. Subdued bitterness. 160408

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of Ungstrup. Pours a slightly hazy amber golden with a rough, off-white head. Oxidized aroma of sherry and overripe fruit. Medium body, the mouthfeel is soft and carbonation very low. Caramel and overripe fruit. Almost no bitterness. Nice. 160408

Cask at Edinburgh beer festival 2008 ... Deep copper ... light malt ... sweet malt some tofeee some raisins...3.7 TK2 Cask at Bow Bar... Deep black ?? (i did check) ... nice sweet toffee fruit malts and dark roast ... very tasty. 4.4

Cask at Hairy Twat beer festival ... Dark brown ... smokey woody malts nose ... sweet roast fruity and juicy ... little woody... little chocolate... bottle at home ...deep brown ... toffee malt nose ... lovely rich sweet toffee ... very nice ... pleased to se that my cask rating was scored so high ... this time for the bottle 3.6

Cask handpull at The Belvedere, Liverpool. First beer of day 2 of my weekend in Liverpool and not a very promising start. Copper colour, thin off white head. Some fruit, some diacetyl, syrupy in mouth, some hop on end. Not my kind of beer. Some spice in there perhaps. Spice and butter. Nasty. If it wasnβt for The Kinks best of, in the background, I would have left. Oh and the Higsonβs Stout which was next.
