Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is brown malt with some roast, caramel, a touch of coffee and cocoa. Some (dried) fruity notes with a hint of juniper. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet and light bitter. Body is medium. Not bad, like a Belgian Dark Ale with roast, a little coffee.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, yellow-ish, golden colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Sweet-ish, minimally bready, wheaty malty, mildly spicy and zesty, citrusy fruity aroma, hints of orange peel, coriander, a touch of lemon. Taste is spicy and zesty, citrusy fruity, wheaty malty basis with low residual sweetness, notes of coriander and lemon peel, mild zesty and hoppy bitterness. Watery texture, slightly dry palate, medium to fine, dense, mildly prickly carbonation. Balanced, fairly refreshing - very nice.

33cl Fles van Katjeskelder. Iets mistig oranje kleur, witte kraag. Licht harsig, iets fruitig, hint van gist, moutig, bitter, caramel. Oldskool vibe, bevalt prima, maar geen hoogvlieger.
