Tasting at Leighton’s Flat. Cheers to Fergus. Light haze on this paleish gold beer. Small white head. Palate is airy and semi dry and a little crisp. Light pale malts. Little floralness. Mild dried fruits and a touch of bitter citrus peel. Light finish with a floral bitter linger. Not bad.

Bottle thanks to Fergus. It pours lightly hazy gold with a small white head. The nose is toasty, grainy, lemon meringue pie and cereal. The taste is toasty, bitter, grainy, straw, lemon rind, grapefruit and cereal with a dry finish. Light-medium body and fine carbonation. Light and simple. So-so.

Bottle shared in London. Thanks to Fergus. Pours clear yellow with a frothy white head. The nose has baked grains, tangerine, straw. Light sweet flavor with dry pale malts, straw, mild grass, pithy lemon. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Pretty well balanced on the finish, further grainy pale malts, lemon rind. Simple but tasty pale ale.

Bottle shared at Leightons pre Christmas tasting. Picked up at Clapton craft. Aroma is spicy / medicinal hop, dirty pine / straw. Pale yellow / straw coloured pour with a very light haze and a lasting loose pure white head. Flavour is composed of burnt grass, assertive slightly biting bitterness. Palate is pretty light, very dry finish. Big lingering grassy bitterness, somewhat chalky on tongue.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Hazy pale golden body with a thick white head. Low carbonation. Nice lacing. Aroma of lemon cake, pale malt and white bread. Flavour of Rich Tea biscuit, bitter hops, cornflakes and lemon sweets. Thin body with a light, oily texture. Soft fizz. I’m not sure if the hops complement each other very well, they all seem to be giving the same lemony/bitter characteristic.

Bottle at four quarters, Peckham. It pours lightly hazy golden with a small white head. The nose is sweet tropical fruit action, juicy, wheat, dough, straw and toasty grain. The taste crisp, bitter, toasty grain, straw, dough, citrus peel and pepper with a dry finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Taste doesn’t live up to nose, but not bad anyhow.

330ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, golden colour with average, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Piney and citrusy, fruity hop aroma, notes of pineapple, a touch of mango and passion fruit. Taste is bitter hoppy, notes of pineapple, mango, passion fruit, subtle pale malty sweetness. First sip is excellent and deeply impressive, familiarisation makes it more ordinary ("Gewöhnung macht es gewöhnlich".). Still a nice one.

On keg at the Craft Beer Rising event at the Drygate brewery. I think this should be under the style of Wheat Ale as it was an IPA with a high proportion of wheat in there. Anyway, it was a bit earthy on the nose but on the taste there was a lot more of the big citrus notes with that creamy and slightly sour/drying note underneath.
