Description
Dan and Chris had spent 4 months prior to our launch at Craft Beer Rising looking for a site in almost every corner of London but it became quite obvious, quite quickly, that with the money that we had we weren’t going to be able to do things the traditional way. We couldn’t set up with the right size kit and the right size facility. So with no brewer, no permanent facility and a launch at craft beer rising 2014 around the corner, whilst not initially the plan, we hung our hat on being ‘Hobo’ brewers. Some people call it cuckoo brewing, some people call it gypsy brewing, some people call it contract brewing, some people call it nomad brewing. We prefer the term hobo brewers but whatever you want to call it… its what we do.

Can picked up at Sainsburys. A 4% juicy pale? Pours out hazy, with active head, which fades to skin. Very light fruity, citrus aroma. Taste is a bit bolder, citrus fruits, but still kind of weak and bland. Body is nice. Packaged for Europe, so i'm guessing a contract brew for the export market.

On tap at Copper Bar, shared with Finn. Grey-orange coloured body, hazy. Low pearl white head, spotty lacing. Mild saison fruity nose. Saison fruity taste with notes of grainy malts. Drying end with yeasty notes. Just alright. (Swansea 01.10.2018).

Bottle from Tebay Services, M6, Cumbria. Golden with a small head. Hoppy and fruity in both aroma and taste, it has a slightly dense texture but its strength is not overly evident. Feels slightly steamed.

Keg at Draft House Seething Lane, 29/08/18. Very lightly hazed golden orange with a decent off white cap. Nose is tangerine, mellow citric peel, soft bread. Taste is overly mineral, grass, citric pith, light pine, melon, grapefruit, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with moderate hop bitterness. Ok.
