Huge, just yellowish head, slowly collapsing over fully hazy orange-yellow beer, lively carbonated. Fine aromatic nose, with fruity hops, peaches, and other stone fruit. Bit harsh, quite fruity flavour. Again peach/apricot. Might be better cooled a tad more. Light sweetness. Finish has a waft of cilandro. Warming up, even more sweetness. Medium bodied, quite slick. Very well-carbonated. Pretty good beer. Brewerkz actually know what they’re doing. Txs to Stef!

Bottle at the Roadhouse BBQ, Bangkok. Poured a hazy dark amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is big citrus hop. The flavour is strong bitter with a rich malt, alcoholic woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. A suitable anniversary beer! The taste of Singapore in Thailand and that’s very welcome.

Sampled at VANØ annual meeting 2014. Rather clear, pale purple body with a small head and sparkling carbonation. Quite weak in aroma, a bit berry/fruity in general. Flavor is quite weak as well but sparkling refreshing with a hint of both fruit and berries. Not much sign of honey here or blueberry. More like a dry, sparkling soda pop. Light in body and almost no aftertaste. Not much to do with mead, but quite refreshing in a one-dimensional way.

Bottle. A clear, flat, pinkish drink with scents of blueberry and some honey. Rather one-dimensional and weak on the nose. The flavor is much more pronounced and also nice, with some honey in the back and a good dash of blueberries up front. It’s medium bodied and quite dry, more or less flat on the palate. Not as oily as expected. A bit boring this one, but it drinks dangerously easy. The flavor is the best of it, luckily. 140322

Sampled under the designation of X IPA 7.5% ABV Small off-white head over veiled orangeish-amber beer. Ureum, fruity, exotic hops’ nose. Bit of cakebottom, slight oxydation. Sharpish, cheesy flavour. Toast, caramel, caramel-covered strawberries, even a tad liqueurish. Gets milder warming up. Slighlty burning MF, medium bodied, quite slick. Certainly not spectacular, but decent. IMO more halfway IPA - IIPA, than outright double IPA. Txs to Stef!

On tap at Roadhouse Barbeque Bangkok. Very thick creamy white head. Clear amber pour. Nice refreshing bitterness. A nice beer surprised to see a Singapore brew on tap in Bangkok

Bottle, 64cl. A dark brown beer topped by a nice, dark beige head. The aroma is perhaps a bit one-tracked, but nice, with a light burnt touch, as well as coffe and chocolate. The same can be said of the flavor, where there’s some bitterness to keep the chocolate, coffee and roasted to burnt malts company. Full-bodied and dry on the palate, with a lasting chocolate-bitter finish. Nice, but it lacks depth. 131004

Bottle from the brewpub
Hazy amber color with small head. Light aroma of yeast and berries. The mouthfeel is not too dry; it has a vague fruity flavor, maybe berries, and maybe honey; correct bitterness.
A simple beer, but better than I expected for the sub-style.
