2001 bottle. Cellared, sherry-like aroma. Cloudy orange/brown colour. Small head. Sherry flavour with slight orange peel note. Bready øllebrød flavour. Thick mouthfeel, slightly slimy.

Bottle. Malty/sherry-like aroma. Smells old. Dark brown colour. Flavour also seems old, but not too bad. A little bread flavour, malty. Aftertaste bitter and peppery.

Amber to dark red; no head to speak of. Bready nose, malty, caramel and toasted. Nutty taste, chestnut or chestnut flour, sweet, vanilla. Very oily, buttery MF, flat, no carbonation. This is quite better than expected. Beer could do with some more publicity. Try it, if you can find it.

hazy dark brown, medium yellowish head. Leafy, estery (meaty), spices, and black malts. Nutty taste, dark malts, touch of bitter chocolate. Leafy flavour. The meat-ester is found also in the taste. Very well bodied, dry at first, gradually filling it. Not bad, not bad, deserves more attention. This beer might be a labelbeer from one of the classical ones by this underestimated brewery, but it does compare favourably with me. If they could find some more commercially interesting names for them, as this one?

Bottle Clear, amber body. Off-white head, fully diminishing. Caramal aroma. Moderately bitter flavour. Heavily bitter (and lightly salty) finish. Lightly alcoholic. Fully bodied.

A red-brown beer with a huge light brown collapsing head. The aroma is spicy and yeasty, but also with some weird dusty note. The flavor is sweet with notes of berries, yeast, as well as hints of caramel. The mouthfeel is flat and smooth.

Clear orange brown color, medium off-white head. Aroma of alcohol, caramel malt, fruit like prune. Sweet and alcoholic taste, caramel malty. Quite alcoholic palate, belly warming. I expected something very good, but I tasted much better dutch beers.

As this is quite pale, I suppose this is the "Blond". It does not say so on the (new) label, and I wonder if there’s difference with the ’regular’. Very pale amber, big bubbles inside the beer to very creamy, dense head, not stable. Warm alcoholic and candi sugar nose, bit leafy. Taste confirms the nose; very alcoholic, caramel, orange peel and a dryness that speaks of much, much candi sugar. Alcoholburn and alcohol-induced lightness. But there’s still quite some malt to support, after all. Warming aftertaste, sweet. Beefed up, crude, maybe, not exciting, but then again, not bad neither. I still wonder...
