Bottle from Oddbins. Appearance - golden with a decent head. Nose - cooked corn. Light struck match. Taste - more of the same. Palate - light bodied with a creamy yet drying texture and a finish that doesn’treally work. Overall - these one thing we ask of a lager is to refresh but this one can’t even do that.

Bottle shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours clear gold with a thin white head. Aromas of cooked corn, sulphur. Taste is more cooked corn, almost soup-like. Nasty, astringent finish.

Bottle from Oddbins. Appearance - amber russet with a nice head. Nose - red fruit, particularly strawberry. Taste - strawberry confirmed. A bit sweet really. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly fresh finish. Overall - decent but not world beating.

I’m pretty sure, the last time I looked... grapefruit wasn’t considered a red fruit... pink at a push... mind you... blueberries is also stretching the definition a bit for me. Sounds like ’Beer with a carton of Lidl mixed fruit juice added to the FV’. I should give these guys a fair chance though. The beer certainly looks attractive, a clear red with a long-lasting pink-tinged head. Aromas are strawberry and cherry, some light creamy sweetness. The taste lets it down though, sweet, cheap and chalky. Grating mineral finish. Set my teeth on edge. Once again, the bottle proclaims ’No Chemicals Added’. Forgetting the basic truth that EVERYTHING IS CHEMICALS.

330ml bottle from Beers of Europe. 4.6%. Is this actually Belgian? Needs investigation. Pours hazy gold, massive white head, over-carbonated. Aromas of banana and coriander seeds. Also soapy. Taste is very soapy. Thin, watery finish. Label says "no chemicals added", which is odd, because I’m pretty sure H2O is a chemical. Everything is chemicals.
