Bottle 50 cl. Pours black with a rough, beige head - kinda smallist though. Sweet chocolate aroma with a hint of booze and smoke. No coffee though. Rich, sweet body with loads of sweet chocolate, but also a phenollic edge to it. Again no coffee notes whatsoever. Ends sweet and boozy. Far from terrible, but brewing a coffee stout without coffee or even coffee notes is kinda cheating your customer. 120314

Bottle 50 cl. Pours an opaque, dark brown with a frothy cappuchino-style head. Some subtle Bamberg-style smoke in the nose atop quite some chocolate. Rich and solid malty body with the smokiness becoming even more distinct flavour-wise. Again some chocolatey malts and a neat, balancing bitterness. Flawless as such - If only I liked smoky beers.... 120214

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a reddish amber with an off-white head. Cloyingly sweet and sugary aroma. If any rowan i don’t pick them up at all. Rich body, totally dominated by sugar sweet malts - perhaps the rowan actually do add a little astringent bitterness towards the finish. But mainly just sweet and rather boozy. Any Belgian would be sad to see this labeled as a Tripel. But no flaws as such. 120214

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a cloudy, reddish brown with a neat, beige head. Sweet aroma of ripe plums. Medium body, sweet, caramellish maltiness with quite some ashtray and smoke and a dryish finish. A rather odd creation, but not exactly terrible. 110214
