Couple of pints or so from a Polly Pin at a party on 7th June 2014, some 6 miles from the brewery. Light golden with a wisp and collar. Pleasant enough blend, with the malts just about winning in both the aroma and taste stakes. Mildly bitter finish, ideal session garden ale on a warm Norfolk day.

500ml bottle from M&S, as Norfolk Bitter. Pours hazy amber, might have been clearer if there werenโt a big yeast deposit around the neck. Must have been stored at a strange angle for some time. Big off-white head. Aroma is floral hops and toffee. Taste is sweet, very faint bitterness. Carbonation is a tad high. Creamy texture, medium body. Short finish. OK.

Cask @ A Nation of Shopkeepers, Leeds. Glowing amber with a thin head. Slightly dry tasting but with a nice hop balance to its texture. Thereโs some fruit in its flavour but not enough to please.

Cask (Punch Bowl, York) - Amber in colour. Peach, toffee and syrup in the aroma. Nicely balanced taste with dried apricot, toffee and biscuity malt detected.

500ml bottle from Marks & Spencer, as Norfolk Bitter. Clear copper colour with white head. Aroma of hops, grain and caramel. Flavour is dry, with grain, caramel, and a hint of citrus.

Bottle shared thanks to Deanso. Pours clear amber brown with a small tan head. Aroma of caramel, ripe dark fruit and light raisins. Flavor is light moderate sweet and bitter. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation.
