Barley Wood Walled Garden, Long Lane, Wrington, BS40 5SA, England
Description
Barley Wood Orchard - hand pressed apple juice and cider
At the bottom of The Walled Garden you'll find the roundhouse. It's home to two antique manual presses on which we make pure apple juice and traditional styles of cider using apples from Barley Wood Orchard.
There are over 60 varieties of apples in the unsprayed orchards, from aromatic Ashmead’s Kernel to the bittersweet Harry Masters Jersey.
We also use surplus fruit from local people’s gardens in exchange for juice or cider (do get in touch if you have an abundance of apples!).

Bottle from Better Foods, Wapping Wharf, Bristol. Golden in colour, and slightly hazy with a touch of carbonation. Juicy apples, starting with a touch of sweetness, before turning more tart, with a touch of barnyard character and oak before a dryish finish. A good Somerset cider.
