Sample at the Inventory Reduction Beer Tasting on 08/08/2015. The beer is a slightly hazy golden color with a medium white head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of grassy hops, tropical fruit and malt. Light to medium body with flavors of floral hops, citrus and biscuit malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a grassy hops aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Poured from a bottle it is a dark brown with a slight head. The aroma is milk chocolate. And the taste is a sweet chocolate malty taste that lingers on the palate

February 2013 edition. Pours nearly black, small grey head. Smell is roasted malts, no unusual hints of chocolate so far. Taste is somewhat to the bitter side. Some chocolate is you drink persistently. Full body- but nothing extreme- and an average carbonation. Ok beer in total, but I am not uncommonly enthousiastic about this one

Sample at Thirsty Monk. Pours a hazy mahogany-amber color with a medium thin off-white head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of citrus, rye malt and hops. Light to medium body with flavors of caramel malt, spicy rye and earthy hops. The finish is hoppy up front with a rye malt aftertaste. Decent overall.

Medium body with flavors of herbal hops, grapefruit and malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a hoppy aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Bottle 65 cl. Pours golden with a slight haze and a dense and lacing white head with good retention. Spicy, almost gingery aroma. Rich, malty body, soft on the palate with the rough and very bitter hops coming out rather late. It’s a very bitter beer indeed and in a fresher state the hops would probably have been a lot crisper. But still a solid IPA. 290715

Bottle. Deep gold/orange body with a dense off-white head, slowly diminishing. Aroma of citrus, orange juice, resin, pine, grapefruit, toasted grain. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Full to medium body, velvety texture, moderate carbonation. Lingering bitterness. Resin and pine balanced with sweet orange and citrus. Chewy with green, leafy, earthy hop taste on top of sweet, caramel malts.

12 oz bottle poured into a Spiegelau tulip. Thanks Ben! Clear amber with a bit over a finger of off-white head. Aromas of toasty notes, malt, citrus, floral notes. Tastes of floral notes, citrus, toasty notes, light malt. Medium body with a dry finish. Solid.

12 oz bottle poured into a Spiegelau tulip. Thanks to my friend Ben for the bottle! Clear golden orange with a bit over a finger of off-white head. Aromas of light citrus, floral notes, slight biscuit. Tastes of floral notes, light citrus, some grassy notes. Medium-light body with a dry finish. Fairly standard but solid session IPA.
