Bottle: Poured an amber color ale with a large off-white foamy head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of spicy rye malt notes with some unrefined malt notes is OK. Taste is also a mix of unrefined malt notes with light spicy rye notes and yeasty finish with some residual sugar notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Not bad but lacking some attenuation and flavours could me more in-synch.

Une levure fruitée aux agrumes nous introduit un olfactif typique du style saison avec des fruits confits, du poivre, de la cannelle, de la muscade, le tout sur une base de céréales bien craquantes. Une mousse géante et extrêmement dense, laissant une magnifique dentelle sur le verre se dépose sur le liquide doré clair, légèrement voilé et fortement effervescent. Entrée de bouche piquante et poivrée, poussée par une effervescence très vive. Le fruité est fortement atténué par le piquant de l’effervescence et les notes d’épices. Le fond de céréales est cependant complexe et donne une base solide à la palette de saveurs. L’amertume est très douce, herbacée et à peine perceptible. Le fruité discret s’apparente aux agrumes confits tels l’orange, à la poire ainsi qu’à de subtiles bananes. Le corps est assez léger et diminué par l’effervescence forte. L’alcool est perceptible mais bien intégré et la finition très sèche. Extrêmement rafraichissante mais j’aurais apprécié un fruité plus développé. Très beau produit.
