Bottle from Cracked Kettle. Amber color. Earthy, oily citric hopaaroma. Earthy hopbitter flavor, citric with licorice. Blackcurrant. Longish aftertaste. Hint of metal in the finish. The balance could be better, but this is a tasty ale.

473ml can. Pours a very hazy pale yellow with a medium, foamy, long lasting, white head that leaves plenty of lace. Mild, sweet aroma of bready wheat malt, orange rind, grapefruit, mango, oak and piney hops. Sweet flavour of bready wheat malt, caramel, orange, mango, pine needles, grapefruit oak and a hint of grass in a dry, mild bitter, weedy hop finish. Medium body with a smooth, oily texture and average carbonation. The oak aging made this a little weird, but it's still ok.

I'm confused, is there hops in this? Decent malt base for a session, but hops, not so much. I did just finish a Nicklebrook session IPA, so it might have blown out my taste for hops, but this is weak sauce.

Part of their Essentials Mix Pack of 2019 (spring, summer maybe) and Mill Street 99th rating for me. Can that pours a hazy golden-amber with lots of particles floating around, like strawberry pulp. The head is lovely creamy-frothy, long lasting with thick patches of creamy lace. The strawberries are definitely in the nose with natural notes. Hints of honey and leaves. The taste is mild with the strawberry and the rhubarb even milder giving some sourness to the mix. It is quite refreshing, fruity and very easy-drinking for nice warm summer days. Nicely brewed !
