Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a golden color with a medium sized foamy white head that left good lacing. The aroma was ginger powder, sweetish, yeasty and musty. The flavor was very strong ginger powder, ginger ale, must and a bit of yeast. Long ginger powder finish. Medium body. Odd but interesting.

341 ml bottle. Pours an opaque, dark brown, almost black with a large, short lived, light brown head that laces. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate and coffee. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, dark chocolate, and liquorice with a bitter coffee finish. Medium body with a watery texture and soft carbonation.

Can. A lightly chill-hazed golden beer with a small, off-white head. Grains, some fruityness and a touch of cooked corn and a sour malty hint in the aroma. Sweet grains, fruityness and cooked corn in the flavor, perhaps a hint of bitterness too. Medium to thin on the palate, soft carbonation. Long finish with a decent bitterness trying to deal with the cooked corn sweetness. Not very good this one. Pretty bad actually. 150620

Bottle: Poured an amber color ale with a large off-white foamy head with good retention and light lacing notes. Aroma of light citrusy notes with caramel malt is pretty dry. Taste is also dominated by dry caramel malt notes with light citrusy notes with a dry aftertaste. Body is about average with good carbonation. Short on complexity with so-so drinkability wonβtβ make me seek this beer again.

Growler from the Ottawa brewpub. Pours a brown-copper colour with a beige head. Aromas of berries, coffee and roasted malts. Coffee flavours with the roasted malts, hints of chocolate and some nice hops in the finish. This creates nice bitterness and dryness. Again, I feel berries and this makes this brew quite interesting and differently delicious.
