Not very good. Just a light amber or lager with some maple. Pours amber without much head or lacing. Finishes a little bitter, a little sweet. Nothing special here. Tap at Winterbrewed.

Good for style. Light taste of whiskey malt and barrel. Some mash. Brownish red pour without much head or lace. Average carbonation. Finishes with light sweetness, actually good for style I dont always appreciate. Decent job. Tap at brewpub in Ottawa.

Can: Poured a nice light black color porter with a huge creamy light brown head with great retention and some excellent lacing. Aroma of vanilla is quite dominating with some good notes of bitter roasted malt notes. Taste is also dominated by loads of vanilla extract which ends up being a bit too over the top with light dry roasted malt notes. Body is light but has a nice creamy texture courtesy of the can widget. Well brewed but vanilla extract notes becomes over the top at some point.

Draught at the Black Frog, Vancouver
Black color with creamy head; served with a mix of nitrogen. The vanilla come through as artificial, covering other beer characteristics (the ones eventually not killed yet by the nitro); the beer seems dry and a bit roasty; soft; not easy to detect some chocolate, but it’s there.
Smooth. Is this a porter?

440ml can from the LCBO. Pours a a hazy dark reddish brown with a generous tan head. Nose is vanilla and chocolate and yeast. Sweet roasted malt throughout and not as much vanilla as in the nose. Creamy palate but a little thin with soft carbonation and a quite short finish. Pleasant but not exciting.

Draught at Pumphouse, Richmond, BC
Cloudy deep blond color, compact head. The malt aroma is a bit biscuity. Weak mouthfeel; papery flavor, with a very light lemony touch. Low bitterness.
Useless.
