Bottle from the 2013 holiday taster pack. Dark brown colour, opaque thanks to the lack of filtering. No head worth mentioning. Rich flavour definitely bananas, malt and a little hint of the booze, a little surprizing at this level of alcohol. Little heavy on the carbonation, but overall a very nice beer.

Part of their Seasonal Sampler 2013 at the LCBO. Pours a cloudy copper-amber colour with a creamy light beige head, good retention and decent lace, also creamy around the edge. Sweet malty nose with lots of fresh bananas and some light dark fruits (dates) notes, spices. Creamy wet mouthfeel with just a tad of stickiness. From the bottle, no burning at all. The taste is milder like most Mill Street brews. Hints of banana from the wheat with some yeast and sweetness in the finish. Pretty good for this brewery, for this style.

Can - Cocoa and vanilla, with some roasted malts. As it warms, I smell gravy. Jet dark brown with a creamy beige head. Sickly sweet and artificial, very thin and just bad.

A murky brown Bock with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with loads of weird herbal off notes, fusel alcohol, ripe banana, so-so. In mouth, a sweet fruity malt with dark fruits, molasses, grassy notes, loads of alcohol burn, unbalanced. On tap at Ottawa location.

Had a taste of this at the hostel where I was staying while on detox and it didn’t tempt me out of it. Pours orangy-red with ok head and lacing. Some pumpkin and some clove. Very malty. Palate very light, near non-existent. Finishes slightly sweet. Tasted at Mugshots.

Really not much of a brown ale. Pours dark amber with ok head and lacing. Some barley in flavour, not much else. Finishes with light bitterness. Average carbonation. Tap at brewpub in Ottawa.

Good malty oktoberfest fit to be drank by the one litre stein served by blonde, big-breasted madchens by the handful. Pours amber without head or lacing. Finishes with sweet malt. Good for session. Tap at Ottawa brewpub.

Well-textured but uneventful in flavour. Creamy malt makes up most of the aroma. Pours amber with great head and lacing. Finishes with light sweetness. Creamy, soft carbonation. Tap at Ottawa brewpub.
