Had a taste of this at the hostel where I was staying while on detox and it didn’t tempt me out of it. Pours orangy-red with ok head and lacing. Some pumpkin and some clove. Very malty. Palate very light, near non-existent. Finishes slightly sweet. Tasted at Mugshots.

Really not much of a brown ale. Pours dark amber with ok head and lacing. Some barley in flavour, not much else. Finishes with light bitterness. Average carbonation. Tap at brewpub in Ottawa.

Good malty oktoberfest fit to be drank by the one litre stein served by blonde, big-breasted madchens by the handful. Pours amber without head or lacing. Finishes with sweet malt. Good for session. Tap at Ottawa brewpub.

Well-textured but uneventful in flavour. Creamy malt makes up most of the aroma. Pours amber with great head and lacing. Finishes with light sweetness. Creamy, soft carbonation. Tap at Ottawa brewpub.

Average lager. Not entirely sure what the point of this is. Pours golden without head or lacing. Some light sweet malt is the only real aroma here. This is what beer tastes like across the river from Gatineau. Finishes with a kind of sweetened malt with a tinge of booze. Tap at Ottawa brewpub.

Draft - Very fruity with the grains coming through in the end. Clear gold with a thin white head. Bready with a grain finish. Very light in flavour and spice. Easy drinking and on the light side with a big of sweetness.

Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks kerenmk. Dark brown to black with a tan head. Aroma of coffee, some roastiness and light chocolate notes. Mildly roasty flavor with coffee beans, a bit "green" and a bit of nutty hints. Medium-bodied.

Bottle from the Beer Store. Pours a deep copper with a minimal white head. Bread and grass nose. Mostly sweet roasty malts but a decent level of bitterness that doesn’t overpower shows up in the middle. Medium slick body with average carbonation. Much better than I was expecting given the product it is placed alongside in my local Beer Store.

Bottle received as an extra in a trade and shared in a Copenhagen hotel room. Thank you pushkinwow! Pours hazy pale golden with a small frothy white head that leaves a small sticky trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is malty and tiny phenolic with white bread, wheat crackers, dried flowers, lemon zest, yeasty dough, cloves, coriander and dry wood. Taste is tiny bitter, tiny sour and slightly phenolic with wheat crackers, wheat bread dough, lemon juice, cereal, cloves, coriander, pepper corns, wood, dry soil, lemon zest and hints of glue. Mouthfeel is crisp, tiny dry, tiny spicy astringent and light to medium bodied. Finish is bitter and tiny sour with wheat crackers, cloves, coriander, allspice, pepper corns, lemon juice, lemon zest and hints of white bread. Rather unimpressive. The sour doughy taste ruins it...
