Bought randomly at the national Arts Centre in Ottawa.... hey, isn’t it odd that people can flock here from regions round while most of Canada may never have heard of the place? Nonetheless it was in a bottle with okay head and aroma....it’s a decent mix of barley and hops, drank from the bottle waiting for my show’s doors to open. Are these people seriously for real? The frizzy hair, the central-Canadian couteur, as someone not from this region it’s just surprising that people actually live this way. But nonetheless.... Bonny and Clyde would be proud. This is a decent brew to drink while waiting for one’s theatre to open. Or, perhaps, to imbibe whole the Algonquin river flows in the summer solstice night.

This ale pored a deep amber colour with a big, frothy, light brown head. To the nose there are scents of malt, caramel and cereal. First sip was slightly thin and very malty. Flavors of light maple, toast, slight coffee and caramel. Finish is medium sweet with heavy malt flavours lingering. Very nice.

2008 ceramic bottle thanks to CaptainCougar. Poured a slightly hazy brown color without much of a head. Aroma is sweet malt notes. Flavor is some toffee, caramel, touch of booze. Not bad.

Draft - Apple and little bit of hay. Fizzy yellow with a thin head. Light crisp and tastes like a bad cider. Should have ordered water. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A lightly hazed golden IPA with a thin off white head. In aroma, interesting mix of floral hops with resinous character and light grapes. In mouth, a lighter bodied interpretation with smooth catty hops, biscuit malt, a bit light bodied.

Bouteille 355ml.

Poured from a 500mL bottle. Cloudy dark brown in colour with virtually no head. Aroma of pepper, caramel, fig, plum, and molasses. Tastes quite boozy with stone fruit sweetness.
