Sample at the Beer ’N Rock Band tasting on 08/27/2010: Bottle courtesy of a traveling colleague. The beer is a clear copper-orange color with a thin off-white head that diminishes quickly. Top ring of lacing with short strings underneath. Aroma of tropical fruits and caramel. Medium body with flavors of mild hops, herbs, fruit and malt. The finish is sweet with a light spice and malt aftertaste. Decent all around.

Pours a slightly hazy copper colour with a beautiful big creamy off-white head that has great retention and thick layered lacing. Mild spicy nose with some cereal malt scent and notes of bananas. Wet and a tad creamy mouthfeel. A good balance between the rye and the weizen yeast, creating a refreshing weizen-tasting beer.

A lightly hazed dark amber with a thick moka head. Aroma of caramel malt and mashed pea. In mouth, a rather chalky and boring ale, almost lager like, no British hops, medium bodied. On tap at brewpub, August 7 2010.

This wheat came out of the can a nice golden colour with a big, bright white head. To the nose there are scents of lemon, grass, cream, corn and tea. First sip was a little thin but the flavours of tea and lemon were nicely added. Not too strong and not underflavoured. Perfect balance. Tea flavour lingered with lemon long into the palate.
