Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a caramel-bronze color with a small yellow-white head. The aroma was sweet caramel and candied fruits. The flavor was very sweet, sugary, yeasty, bready and chewy with a candied fruit element. A bit of alcohol came through. The finish was long and sweet. It is rare that I find a beer to be too sweet for my taste but this one managed to do it.

22 oz. bottle from Secret Santa - Winter 2007. Pour is clear ruby oranges with an off white head that faded fast. Aroma of resin and citrus hops. Taste is a little tangerine citrus with the nice resin bitterness throughout. The bitterness also has a slight element of black pepper spiciness to it. Nice sweet malt body balanced in there as well. Overall, a pretty tasty IPA, thanks Santa!

Bottle. Thanks to bu11zeye for this one. Pours a black color with a tan head. Roasted malty oatmeal aroma with hints of chocolate and coffee. Dry roasted bitter chocolate and coffee flavor. Roasted warming malty finish.

At thewolf. Thanks for sharing this gem! Black with a lasting light brown head. Caramel, toffee, chocolate and coffee aromas - relaxed, but rich. The flavour has a good dose of both black malt and hop bitterness, hop flavour, some sweetness, and a hint of alcohol. All in all, a perfect balance of all the good things that can be in an imperial stout. Great big mouthfeel too. A pleasant surprise from a brewery I had never heard of.

Bottle pours a deep redish amber with a small light tan head and spoty lacing. Mild citusy hop aroma, and a middle of the road malt body with a balancing though unimpressive hop bite. Seems faded, not the bright crisp fresh west coast IPa type flavor.

Bottle from Eithcubes - Thanks! Pours a citrus orange / copper with a modest off-white head. Aroma is citrus and piney hops with a nice maltiness. Tastes balanced with hops and malt, no overwhelming role. Citrus and floral go well with the caramel malt. Nice I2PA.

Crizay hooked me up with this juicy IIPA via trade, thanks buddy. Pours a perfect copper with frothy tan head. The aroma has a mild strength to it containing really fresh Cascade hops. It almost smells like it has been wet hopped. I get grapefruit, orange rind and a faint malt sweetness. The taste is very refreshing with mostly semi sweet grapefruit hop flavor and also bitterness. Then mild maltiness shows up briefly and mixes in with green (wet) Cascade hops. As the finish draws in the grapefruit bitterness builds. The after taste leaves mild grapefruit hop bitterness as well as a hint of malt sweetness. There was no sense of the 8.2% ABV. This is a big hoppy beer that just hits the spot. Nicely done.

Bottle. [ Courtesy of drewbeerme ] Clear dark black color with a average to large, creamy / frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, dark coffee, burnt, light to moderate alcohol. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium to full, texture is creamy / oily, carbonation is flat / soft. ;o)) (271007)

On draught at 69 Taps in Akron. This beer is a mostly clear light reddish-brown color with a medium-thin off-white head that dissipates steadily. Stringy lacing. Sweet berry and malt aroma. Medium-bodied with a tart fruit character balanced by sweet malt and grain flavors. The finish is raspberries and malt and lingers awhile. Overall a pretty good Fruit beer.

Sampled in a green glass, from a bottle at the Bocktown. Looks like a slightly darker pale yellow american lager, I think. Big hoppy floral aroma with mashed pine needles. A taste impact of bitter soap, I think I accidentally sampled the men’s room hand soap container, better turn up the lights. This style is not my cup of tea but this beer is an excellent example of this dreaded style. Barely any carbonation. An insult to the tender buds of the lager lover. Very bitter lingering over the top finish, get me a chaser of Old heathen. OK, IPA lovers, you can smile since my whole face is puckered.
