On tap. Clear deep golden with a small white head. Fresh aroma hops in the nose. Medium-bodied, sweet burned caramel and a whiff of Belgian yeast. Subdued bitterness. Nice alright. 070510

Bottle. A hazy copper colored beer topped by a small off-white head. There’s some chili in the aroma which is quite sugary and fruity, with pale malts. It’s full bodied and slightly chili burning in the mouth, maybe a bit less burning than I would like it, and a good bitterness is also present. It has a lasting bitter finish which feels quite dry even though there’s a good dash of sweetness too. A nice beer indeed, well balanced and tasteful. 100212

7th May 2010. Copenhagen Beer Festival. Unless Eddie is pulling my pud then this is made with snuff! Clear dark brown beer, small bubbly cream head. Light dry palate. Very sweet creamy malt. A little licorice and herbs. Finishes soft and dry. A little sweet bubblegum in the aftertaste. Certainly a bit different!

7th May 2010. Copenhagen Beer Festival. Slightly hazy brown beer. Short lived tan head. Crisp dry palate. Milky sweet malt, reasonably well balanced with the small amount of hop. Finishes dry and crisp. Not bad, a bit different. Oh - and much superior to the Hornbeer version!!
