50 cL bottle. Pours dark brown, almost black with a dense chocolate brown head. Deep chocolate aroma with a nice roasted tone. Smooth mouthfeel. Flavour is smooth chocolate with clear accents of liquorice. Sweet. Finish holds a warming alcohol. Somewhat too sharp and lacks a bit of balance to be really great.

Bottle. Clear-looking, dark brown body with a reddish hue. The head is tan and creamy, and leaves nice lacings as the beer is consumed. The aroma is slightly sour, with lots of roasted malt and coffee like scents. Surprisingly thin body for a 7.2% ABV stout, but there’s also a sweetish feeling. Flavorwise, it has burnt malt, a little fruity note, a pleasant oxidation in the background, and a coffee-like bitterness. Licorice too. The finish is long, with bitterness, mostly coffee-like bitterness, some licorice, and dried fruits. A little warming touch from the alcohol too. The beer is a bit "different" but quite nice. Not too drinkable though. But I like it... (071114)

From tap at Ølbaren. Pours black with a diminished dense chocolate brown head. Thick chocolate, roasted malt and a slight note of liqourice in the aroma. Viscous mouthfeel and full bodied. Flavour starts with a mild and soft chocolate feel before it decends into roasted coffee notes and goes into a nice bitter finish. Great brew but also a bit lazy compared to stuff like Black Hole, Dark Lord and Darkness - but its getting there.

Black with a brown hue, long lasting light brown head. Chocolate and roast malt aroma, much like the regular Midtfyns Stout with added spice. Semisweet with a licorice flavour. Extremely pleasant and holiday-friendly, but for me, a little too spicy in the long run.

Amber beer with a lasting off-white head. Spicy aroma with cardemum and orange, some caramel, and a little malt. Sweet and spicy flavour, with fruity and rich spicy aftertaste. Halfway through a pint, the spice is a little overwhelming.

Draft. An amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of fruit and strawberries. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of toffee, bisquits, and spices - amongst those is cardemomme and cinnamon most dominant. The finish is dry and spicy.

Bottle (Had this late september) 50 cl: Dark brown with creamy off white brown head. Aroma is very stout like - roasted/burnt malts chocolate & coffee. Filling body. Somehow a bit buttery sweet. Reminds me of the regular stout from midtfyns with some added christmas spices like Anis & coriander. OK!

Bottle. Creamy white good mostly deminishing head, but maybe because of the glass. Moderate malry and hoppy aroma. A bit cheasy. Moderate bitter flæavor. moderate bitter average finish. Oily palate. Deasent beer but a little boring.

Draft. A very dark brown beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of chocolate as well as lighter notes of coffee, vanilla, roasted malt, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of roasted malt, coffee, cocoa beans and chocolate, as well as lighter note of alcohol, leadint to a dry cocoa finish which also has a touch of alcohol. Nice.
