Sampled from 12oz brown bottle this beer pours a dark golden color with a small head that dissipates quickly. Surprisingly pretty. There is a sweet malty aroma. There is a rich malty lager flavor with some sweetness. The aftertaste is a little bitter. Other than the aftertaste this is really a pretty decent beer. Decent.

Deep dark brown in colour, with a thick moka head. Caramel malt aroma. Nice nutty roasted malt taste with powdered cocoa and more intese nuttiness in post-taste. Downside, this beer is very thin.

Red brown colour, with a rapidly dissipating moka head. Sweet malts and vanilla aroma. Sweet malts with a little bit of nutiness, very little bitterness and little body to support the sweetness...ho-hum.

This starts out as a richly colored beer with a small, but creamy head. Nice malty aroma and a mouthfeel that is smooth with a balanced sweetness to it. Not a world class Schwarzbier, but certainly a respectable example just the same.

Nice bottle, yea, let me try one of those. Wow, this bottle's a keeper... ahhh. Oh it pours decent, nice look. Smell's OK, kinda riddled with roasted something. Tastes a bit thin and watery. Hmm, I expected more. I suppose it's drinkable. Buy one, at least so you have a nice looking bottle to add to your collection.

Very pretty orange/amber color, with a nice soft head, and lots of lacing. Nice, but weak floral scent. Kind of weak flavor, with a metallic copper aftertaste. Not what I had expected. A little thin in the mouth. Too boring for me to resample, though it's really not awful.

Deep gold with a nice fluffy head, and lots of lacing. A pretty beer without a doubt. A decent grapefruit aroma, but it’s kinda weak. A bit disappointed in the taste. Though it’s got the typical IPA characteristics, it’s kind of thin and lacking the defined flavor that I look for in an IPA. Not bad, but not near the best I’ve had. Mouthfeel is a bit thin and watery... a shame. It’s drinkable, but there are so many better IPAs out there.

In my everlasting search for that perfect beer, I tried this. It's nice, smooth, and dark without being too filling. It's got a good taste, it's smooth going down, has a nice appearance and aroma. I'll definitely buy this one again... it's not something I'll tire of quickly.

Decent dark brown, with highlights of deep red, small head that disappears quicker than I can open up beer advocate and start typing. Nice roasted scent, but it's very weak and distant. Bring it forward a bit and the score goes up. Taste is a bit off in my book. Not bad, but not great. Slightly florally bitter. Needs improvement. I have to say it's got a strange mouthfeel. A bit watery going in, fair in the motuh, and extra bubbly going down. It's an OK beer... not one of the best.

Goldenrod color, virtually no head. Very little lacing. New smell? no. A little appley, that's all. Virtually flavorless taste, with only a slight bitter bite. Reminds me of drinking unsweetened iced tea. Champagne like mouthfeel. I'll never try this plain, boring brew again.
