Bottle from Harris Teeter, Barracks. I haven’t seen Saranac in years... it used to be cheaper. Pours hazy golden with lots of floaties and a small white head. Aroma is cat piss, pine, mango, orange peel, bread. Flavor is mango way up front, followed by pine, orange peel. Pretty good.

355ml bottle. Pours a slightly hazy gold with a small, creamy, long lasting, white head that laces. Sweet aroma of pale malt, tropical fruit, tangerine, orange and peach. Sweet flavour of pale malt, tangerine, grapefruit, peach and apricot with a dry, bitter grass finish. Light body with a watery texture and average carbonation. Ok.

From old tasting notes. This was known as Prior Double Dark brewed by the Prior Brewery in Philadelphia. Translucent reddish brown color with a brief beige head. Dry roasted malt nose. Decent malt flavor is dry and slightly tart upfront. Finishes dry with a hint of herbal hops. Nice balance and body. Lacking in sweetness. Otherwise, decent.

Draught @ Albion. Cloudy orange with foamy off-white head, permeating strawberry aroma, high carbonation, lightly bitter medium tart taste with berry flavor, thin body, long medium tart finish. Easy to drink.

On tap at DRBT. Pours a dark brown with medium beige head that lasts. The aroma is rye, roast, bourbon, wood. Medium body, roasted malt, wood, vanilla, rye, nice boozy finish, very good.

On tap at DRBT. Pours a clear copper with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is roast coffee, yeast, dark fruit. Medium body, strong roast, spice, wood, boozy finish, very good.

Bottle from Tops- Derby.Normal looking pour, clear golden with a small foamy head Grainy.y aroma, kind of musty, stale. Taste is also very muted, overall seems watery. Brief glimmer of Citra hops in the taste for a second, before fading away. Not much here.

Draught @ Albion. Opaque dark brown with small foamy tan head, sweet mocha aroma, low carbonation, sweetish mocha taste with roasted nuts flavors, alcohol overtones, thin body, long sweetish mocha finish. The bourbon is not very noticeable, and tastes like artificial sweetener, disappointing.
