Description
The Home of Esker is at the Australian Hotel & Brewery in Rouse Hill. Our production facility there has been the only brewery in the Hills Shire for the last 12 years. We believe that all roads will eventually lead you home. Inspired by our home in the Hills Shire of Sydney, we craft beers to be enjoyed on that journey.

Beers rebranded from Australian Hotel & Brewery to Esker late 2022/early 2023.

Star Wars Geek Moment- this beer shows a light sabre with a crosshilt (not seen until Kylo Ren has one in The Force Awakens) so Revenge of the Pith (clever as it is) is inaccurate. Oh dear, perhaps I should just drink a beer and shut up........
375ml can into shaker, nose is dry bitter orange. Clear bronze beer with light carbonation and full frothy white head. Taste is earthy, dry, piney. Finish is long, crisp and clean with woody citrus notes. Nice serious IPA, pleasant and drinkable.

On tap at Australian beer festival. Orange/brown beer with a thin head. Fantastic 'BBQ' nose, smells like a bonfire. Tastes of dried meat and woodchips, it's slightly bitter but easy to drink. Loses nothing in comparison to European 'smoked' beers.

375ml can into shaker. Pale yellow beer with fluffy white head which clings a bit. Nose is very light grain and even lighter malt. Flat mouthfeel (in fact the beer is very lightly carbonated). Taste is a little grain and the finish is citrus with a touch of damp earthy hops. Really, really easy-drinking (nothing wrong with that!).

From a 375ml can on 15/8/2017. Pours a dark brown with a medium head. The nose features some light chocolate and caramel. In the mouth it’s a real sweetie - again chocolate and caramel, and some brown sugar, but the honey is most prominent. There’s barely any bitterness present and I don’t really get the oats. The texture is slick and the carbonation moderate. Fairly one dimensional, but in a good way. An enjoyable dessert beer.

Pint on tap at The Little Guy, Glebe. Nose is red fruit and oats, sweeeet! Mahogany red with thin white head. Mouthfeel is smooth, taste is sweet. Finish is more fruit and lingering sweetness. Nice enough but really sweet. Did I mention how sweet it is?
