Draught at Københavnske Øldage. Thanks Jacob for both the sample at the festival, and the bottle. It poured black, with a tan head. Not much else to say, just lovely. Quite bitterish nose, with chocolate, coffee, some vanilla and mocha. Alcohol, chocolate, coffee and bitterness in the flavor, along with roasted malt and hops. Full, a bit sweet mouthfeel, and one can almost sense the darkness of the beer. Long finish with alcohol, coffee, chocolate and bitterness. Not too sweet. What a start for a new brewery! Bottle. A black beer topped by a two-finger, dense, tan head. Lots of coffee in the aroma, as well as a fine dash of hops. Lovely roasted and hoppy bitterness in the finish, as well as coffee and some alcohol. Warming and full-bodied, and with a looong finish. A true beauty, good they decided to make more of it. 110114

Draught at Københavnske Øldage. Unclear, brown pour with a beige head. Balanced, maybe a bit on the hoppy side, aroma with a good deal of fruits, as well as hops, pine and resin. Much the same in the flavor. Smooth mouthfeel. Yet another nice beer from Amager. (070512)

Bottle: Extremely dark, huge rocky tanned head; complex nose: sweet dark malt, liquorice and dark fruits; full bodied, very solid sweet-bitter flavour; sweet liquorice in "the beginning of the end", becomes later drier with traces of cacao and dark fruit. A very fine, well crafted brew..........

On tap at Københavnske Øldage. (thx Jacob) Clear, ruby body and a dense, beige head. Chocolate, coffee, mocha and roasted aroma with a hoppy aroma. Balanced flavor in a way, quite heavy, with chocolate, coffee, vanilla and a good deal of hops. Dry, silky mouthfee and a long, hopped finish with sweetness and coffee. A very drinkable beer, and quite hoppy for a stout, but it is nice, really nice. (070511)

On tap at Københavnske Øldage. Almost clear, golden-orange beer with an off-white head. Sweetness and some spices and wheat in the nice aroma. A bit fruityness as well. Nice, but a bit sweet flavor. Mostly white sugar, lacking a bit on fruityness. Tea-notes. Alcohol and spices in the finish. A little stingy mouthfeel. It is a nice beer, but a bit sweet. The re-rate didn’t change my numbers, it’s still a nice brew. Not the typical tripel, yet quite nice, and definately a potent brew. (070511)
