(Bottle 50 cl) Completely black and opaque beer with a tall, dense, inch thick, light brown head that leaves a pretty lacework. This really is one goodlooking beer. The aroma is full of fat, burned malts - even a bit vinous. Extremely full-bodied, this pours thick and tar-like. Extremely solid notes of roasted malt with burned touches, some fruit and a discreet, underlying sweetness. Ends fairly bitter. A grand Impy indeed. 010407 and 070907

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours completely black and opaque with a beige head. Fresh aroma of aroma hops. Quite a rich and full body with distinct, sweetish, roasted malts with a fruity edge and a discreet bitterness. A very pleasant and friendly Stout - almost a Sweet Stout. 010407

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a hazy, warm, amber golden with a pretty, off-white head. Dense and very intense aroma of fruit and a whiff of yeast. Very full-bodied with lots of exotic fruit esters and a very distinct sweetness. A fairly complex beer with a warming alcohol. 190407

50 cL bottle. Pours hazzlenut brown with light brown head. Aroma is sweet caramel malty with dominanting simcoe hops. Flavour is strong and flowery hops followed by the malt in a soft blend with alcohol. A good strong bitterness kicks in at the finish. Powerful, elegant balanced and a simple beer. Alcohol is slightly too dominant for my taste.

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a brown head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of roasted malt, as well as light notes of coffee, and chocolate. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of roasted malt, and coffee that grows stronger towards the end, on a good strong alcoholic background - You don’t taste it - it is just felt. Nice.

Bottled. A dark brown beer - almost opaque though with a light brown shine, under a thick brown head. The aroma is very hoppy with notes of grass and grapefruit it reminds me of Cascade, but also with notes of the roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with a complex character of light notes of herbs, coffee, hops, grapefruit, and cocoa, leading to a dry roasted end.
