12 oz can to a shaker glass at the Bearden Beer Market in Knoxville, Tennessee. The pour is a slightly hazed copper golden with a small cream white head. The aroma is fresh grassy, pine, citrus and a bit of earthiness. The taste is soft malt sweetness, herbal, citrus and pine hops. Fresh and clean. The palate is light to medium bodied with a crisp dry finish. Nicely balanced IPA.

Can: Pours hazy, light yellow with a frothy white head. Lemon, grapefruit aroma. Taste is weak...orange,grapefruit-peel, wheat malt....very watery. Comes across more like a weak APA than a wheat. Pretty disappointing.

Thanks, nafesdad. The beer is black with brown edges. The head puffed up hugely as I poured the beer. It settles into a thick blanket of light brown foam. Lots of lacing, very good retention. The aroma has a lot of caramel, molasses and some chocolate. The coffee flavor is also strong, but it’s a bit of a nondescript dark roast with some ash and a little fruit. Light metallic note. The taste is on the sweet side but there’s a pretty hefty dose of roasty bitterness, particularly in the aftertaste. Nice caramel malt sweetness at the base. The coffee flavor on top of that isn’t my favorite and is quite strong. Some chocolate, again. Some mild hoppiness. Lots of coffee in the finish. Light but creamy feel. The coffee feels pretty strong with caffeine in the beer, but maybe, I’m just sensitive to that. Pretty good.

Can shared / road soda. Dark brown with a big beige head. Aroma is exactly what it says on the tin upfront, coffee and oatmeal with pretty strong metallic notes, roast, caramel and cocoa. Flavour is above moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Light medium bodied with soft carbonation.
