Bottle @ Patricks. Clear, dark amber under a small beige head. Strong boozy aroma with malt and fusel. Taste is overwhelming alcoholic, medium malty, some dry fruit, lots of yeast and unpleasant alcoholic fusel. Body feels thin for the style, almost watery like a really low residue brew. Not very successfully at all.

Bottle. The label says Belgium Dubbel but that doesn’t feel right at all, this is not very distinct to any style but as an amber kind of beer with some Belgium flavors it might be right to classify as a Belgium style Amber. Anyway, it’s pours unclear amber under a moderate sized off-white head. Quite light in aroma, malty, some dark fruit and Belgium yeast. Taste is medium sweet, malt, bread, toffee, hint of dry fruit and a bit yeasty with low bitterness. Medium body and same aftertastes. I had this beer first time during Håntverekeren juleølfestival but was not able to make any kind of rating based on that sample so I bough me another bottle to enjoy by myself. Still quite difficult to figure out anything sensible here. It’s not a great nor impressive beer, but not all bad either. The first few sips feel like an average home brew made from a beer kit. But it grows a bit by the end of the bottle. There are some qualities here and it works better just with a chicken sandwich without being impressive by any way.

Superficial festival rating during Håntverkerens Juleølfestival 2022. Dark brown, close to black body under a medium sizes beige head. Surprisingly light in aroma, some malt but difficult to identify so much more really. Taste has some more flavors, medium sweet dark malt, hint of toffee, oranges and dry fruit. Medium body and a bit short in aftertaste. Rather disappointing this one.

On tap at Håndverkeren. A more or less black one, with a creamy finger thick dark beige head. Nice curtains. The aroma is quite burnt, with some bonfire, charcoal and coffee grit. Hints of dark dried fruit and a good dash of toffee. It's very soft on the palate, medium bodied, with a light sourish hint. Mostly on the dry side. Roasted malts, toffee, burnt malts and some dried fruits. Soft bitterness. Lasting dark malts driven finish. A bit dull this one, and i couldn't pick up any orange. 221029

0,33 flaske fra VP Lillemarkens, hjemme: nesten helt klar gylden med ok skum. Fint krydret saisonaroma og -smak med fin bitterhet. Humlene er Simcoe, Citra og Amarillo. De har også brukt kandissukker, uten at jeg kan kjenne det, da avslutningen er ganskee tørr.

0,33 flaske fra VP Lillemarkens, hjemme i solkroken: nesten helt klar kobbergylden med fint skum som varrer. Citrus, brød, urter, hint av lynghonning pluss en klar ff (forfriskningsfaktor). Mild bitterhet og god maltsmak.

100ml poured from a bottle at Homborsund Bar, Bryggerifestivalen, third day. Misty warm golden body, filmy layer, spotty lacing. Inviting saison fruity aromas, scent of citrus. Citrus flavours together with yeasty fruitiness. Soft saison fruity end, satisfying bitterness to it. Medium bodied. Pleasing. (Trondheim 30.07.2022).

100ml draught, 5.1 % abv, at Homborsund Bar, Bryggerifestivalen, third day. Hazy amber body, film-type layer, lacing rings down the glass. Farmyard smell, scent of doughy malts. Mixed taste of caramel malts, kveik yeast, and a hints of mid-dry rhubarb. Mid-sweet malt-fruity end. Decent. (Trondheim 30.07.2022).
