Description
The soul of every great beer is in the grain. Established in 2006 in barns at South Farm, Alburgh, with Oak as the first beer, Grain Brewery has since grown and grown. From originally only selling beers in farm shops, local food festivals and farmers markets in Suffolk and Norfolk, our beers are now available on draught and bottled across most of East Anglia. The Plough was the first Grain pub in 2010, with keg production starting in 2012. The Spread Eagle in Ipswich and The Corn Hall in Diss followed, and who knows what the future holds?

Cask at the Spread Eagle, Ipswich. Pours golden amber with a small white head. Aroma of hop, fruit, grass. Medium sweetness, light bitterness. Light body, soft carbonation.

Br gravicask at Chelmsford & Mid Essex Winter Beer Festival. Shared with Cunningham. Clear golden in body colour. Dissipating white head. Juicy malts on the nose. Citrus and oily hops to the taste buds. Dry fruity endnotes. Easy to drink. Refreshing (17.02.2017).

By gravicask at Chelmsford & Mid Essex Winter Beer Festival. Shared with Cunningham. Black as pitch. Low fawn-coloured head. Smell of dough and chocolate. Mixed taste of toffee and dark dough with a coffee backdrop. Medium bodied. Smooth in the mouth. Pretty alright (17.02.2017).

By gravicask at Chelmsford & Mid Essex Winter Beer Festival. Shared with Cunningham. Fawn-coloured head. Next to clear dark brown body. Roasted malt-fruity nose. Slightly smoked malty nose, hints of raisin and chocolate. Semi-sweet malty ending. Medium bodied. Likable (17.02.2017).

Tap @ The Plough, Norwich. Nice head with good duration. Color is hazy golden. Aroma and taste are yeast, wheat malt, fruits and hops. Nice and fresh. Smooth finish.
