On tap at the brewpub. A finger thick, creamy, beige head leaves lacings over a hazy dark orange-golden body. Butterscotch is the first noticed in the aroma, then toffee and some light caramel, followed by hoppy fruityness. It’s semi-sweet and nicely carbonated, with a medium to full body. A bit low on bitterness I think, unfortunately that seems to be in fashion these days. Some malt flavors too, but it’s mostly piney, grass and fruity hops, stretching all the way into the swallow. Sure a decent pale ale but I wouldn’t mind getting rid of the butterscotch-like aroma. 161028

On tap at the brewpub. Almost clear in the glass, dark golden in color and with a dense, finger-thick off-white head leaving curtains. The aroma is fruity-sweetish and quite yeasty, with a touch of peppery spices. It’s sweet and fruity in the flavor, yet not really sweet in the mouth. Not as dry as it should either, but at least with a good carbonation level. Pale malts in the back, along with some yeast flavor. Decent bitterness. Fruit dominated finish. Not the most exciting saison I’ve had, guess they should’ve stored it for some time, that should hopefully clean out most of the yeast aroma and flavor. 161028

On tap at the brewpub. It’s a lightly hazy pale amber colored beer with an off-white head. Malty, lightly vegetal aroma with grass notes. It’s medium bodied and nicely carbonated, semi dry, with a malt dominated flavor. Caramel and bread notes, some grass and a faint vegetal touch. Modest bitterness. Decent finish. A decent beer, nothing special going on. 161028
