Bottle. A dark brown to black beer with a reddish hue and a dense, light tan head of moderate size. The aroma is roasted and lightly burnt, with a touch of bonfire and dark chocolate. It’s medium bodied, quite dry and with a nice carbonation level. Roasted malts, coffee grit, dark chocolate and burnt toast in the flavor, some bitterness too. Long roasted finish. Quite pleasant and easy drinkable this one, not bad for a store strength stout. 170107

On tap at the brewpub. Close to black in the glass, topped by a dense beige head of finger thick size. Roasted and burnt aroma with some dark dried fruits and a touch of mocha. A but thin on the palate, but smooth and dry, which I like. Roasted malts, some bonfire and with some dms hints and a decent bitterness, both of the roasted malt kind and the hoppy kind. Long finish. A bit unclean but sure decent this one. 151204

Bottle. A hazy, golden-orange beer with a small, dense, off-white head. The aroma is orangey and tropical, with some malty notes. Grapefruit hints. It’s medium bodied, semi-dry and nicely carbonated, with a fine bitterness dealing with the little sweetness. Orange zest, pine cones, grapefruit and a generic tropical fruit touch in the flavor, orange zest and bitterness lasting for a good while. A decent beer indeed, although not world class. 170107

Bottle. It’s a clear, pale golden beer with a dense white head leaving lacing. The aroma is rather weak, with just a faint hint of fruityness and pale malts. A vague bitterness in the mouth, with some fruityness and malts. Medium to thin on the palate, with a soft carbonation. Short finish. Rather uninteresting, but at least it’s clean. 161231

Bottle. A lightly pinkish golden beer with a small, off-white head. Some raspberry in the aroma, which is mostly reminiscent of a pretty regular industrial pilsner. The flavor is more heavy on the raspberry, else it’s much the same. Medium to thin body with a decent carbonation. Raspberry dominated finish. Sure drinkable, but not my cup of tea. 161231

On tap at the brewpub. It’s close to black in the glass, topped by a dense tan head leaving some lacing. Chocolate, burnt malts and some coffee in the aroma. A faint touch of prunes as well. It’s quite sweet on the palate, smooth and full-bodied, with some bitterness, both of the hoppy and the roasted malts kind. Chocolate, coffee and hints of dark dried fruits in the flavor, all lasting for a good while. Definitely not a bad one, it’s both pleasant to drink and tasteful. Not the most complex of stouts, and considering it’s a coffee stout I’d like more of the coffee present, but I wouldn’t mind repeating this one anyway. 161028
