Bottle to commiserate Czechia beaten Scotland in the Euros. It pours clear golden - amber with a decent frothy white head. The aroma is rustic, earthy, dry wood, cereal, nutty, rivita and farmhouse bread. The taste is firmly dry, good slap of bitterness which lingers, grass, floral, slightly soapy, cereal, woody, nutty, rivita, farmhouse bread and a touch of spice with a firmly dry finish. Medium body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Nice fresh feel to it. An interesting rustic lager.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from HOTM. Pours clear honey-gold with a foamy, white head. Lovely toasted cereal and biscuit character, light sweetness, a little grassy bitterness, hay. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with husky cereal, more biscuity malts, bitter straw. I liked it very much.

Bottle from I guess Albert Budějovicka. Clear amber body, slightly off white head, thick, fairly lasting. Sweaty aroma, banana, caramel... maybe tropical, but nooot what one wants to go for in an IPA. Lean, dry taste, tropical touch going towards light paint and caramel, astringent, dry, lightly phenolic, going into a fairly sub par bitterness. They have tweaked their recipe - used to claim 3 hops one of which is Citra, now it's Citra and Chinook (might've been before too), but this is still a sub par IPA, and, actually, a sub par Jarošovský pivovar beer as their lagers are generally quite nice. Sigh... Czech random brewery IPAs.... Can't finish it, the mouthfeel kills it.

Bottle from Albert Butovice. Hazy darker amber body, thick off white head, fairly lasting. Creamy maltiness with dry grainy hits, herbal touches, lightly flowery touches. Lean taste, caramelly maltiness, lightly grainy, some smooth, slightly flowery-herbal, not much bitterness. Maybe very, very lightly soapy, but not really, slightly sweetish. Tasty stuff really.

Bottle from Albert Butovice. Lovely red-amber body, off white head. Dry malty aroma, light fruity touches. Dry taste, herbal touches, lightly tart, vaugely bitterish, malty touches, smooth. Okay, smooth, drinlable, fairly generic polotmavé.

1l PETka from Albert Hypermarket Butovice. Hazy pale amber body, white head. Dry aroma, herbal, lightly bready, very light buttery touch. Lean taste, slightly sweetish bready malty background, okay herbal hoppy notes. Classic, simple. Trace diacetyl which makes it actually . The hoppiness is a bit on the duller side in the finish, liiiight bitterness, not much but it's there. It's a drinkable 12° that doesn't thrill in any way, but it's a pleasant drop that I'd have no qualms trying again.

1l PETka BB May 5th. Sliightly hazy golden-orange body, fairly lasting, thick white head. Strong bready aroma, white bread, light herbal undertones. Well, these guys have a fairly strong malt game going on so far that I've tried. Nice herbal, vaguely citric hoppiness, not that much bitterness but it's there, soft bready maltiness in the background. Traaace diacetyl. They are not lying. This is a very typical Czech lager and a good one.
