Description
Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens – Liberty Station opened May 2013 in Point Loma’s now-historic Naval Training Center. Our newest restaurant venture celebrates the venue’s prior history as a U.S. Navy mess hall, while introducing new industrial and organic features of metal, concrete, reclaimed wood, plant life, water and glass. The restaurant encompasses more than 23,500 square feet of indoor and outdoor dining and bars, as well as a bocce ball court, outdoor cinema space and an 11,315-square-foot garden. True to our philosophy, we support an artisanal, natural approach to food, and are the largest restaurant purchaser of small-farm organic produce in San Diego County. Executive Chef Rich Sweeney offers an eclectic and creative menu of world-inspired cuisine, and our bar features 40 taps of exceptional craft beers, including Stone year-round and special releases and beers from other small breweries.

CBC 2016, Red session, draught. Clear (dark) golden body, spotty lacing, low white head. Herbal hops on the nose. Mid-dry fruity flavours joined by dusty hops and pale malts. Drying end with a slight touch of yeasty fruitiness. Medium bodied. Satisfying (Copenhagen 14.05.2016).

Tap @CBC16. Clear golden, small white head. Malty aroma. Flavour has malt, fruit and yeast. Watery… started out so nicely, finished so bland.

CBC2016. Klare kräftig goldene Farbe, geringe weiße Schaumkrone. Geruch süß malzig, Honig, Gewürze. Geschmack süß malzig, Honig, getreidig.

Sample at CBC 2016. Golden with a white head. Soft with fruit, yeast and light malt. The bitterness was low and the body light.

From tap. Pours cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is grassy and crisp hoppy. Smooth fruity, grassy and crisp hoppy. Mild straw and grassy. Crisp hoppy and grassy finish.

Draught @ CBC 2016, Copenhagen. Pours yellowish golden with a small head. Aroma of hops, hay, grass and citrus. Taste is smooth, citrusy and lemony with some hay. Finish is crisp, grassy and lemony with some citrus and lime. Okay.

Pours deep bronze into a snifter. Tan head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Tropical fruit aromas. Thick with mango and pineapple upfront turning to dank resin in the lasting finsh.
