Description
Tucked away down a campion-lined Cornish lane, Trevibban Mill, is a family-run working vineyard, winery and events venue a stone’s throw from the picturesque harbour town, Padstow. Historically the home of a miller and his family, the land is now the home to vines, apple trees and native English Southdown sheep.

Engin & Liz Mumcuoglu, established the Vineyard in 2008 on a working arable farm with the vision to produce high quality sparkling & still wine on the coast of Cornwall. Everything from wine and cider making to bottling, disgorging and labelling are done on site which gives greater control over quality.

330ml bottle from Trevibban Mill. Clear golden yellow pour. Fresh, delicately fruity nose, taste brings additional crisp green apple and light apple skin with a spritzy carbonation. Tastes a bit like an apple cremant. Nice.

Sample courtesy of minutemat, cheers Mat! Orangey pink colour, pink bubbly foam head that quickly dissipates away and aroma of fruity apple, funk, slight grapey hint. Taste is tangy, apple, fleshy, some grape hints and alittle tart acidity. Medium bodied, light carbonation, dry finish. Quite drinkable.

75cl bottle shared with Soph next to the river. Pours pale gold, still. Extremely wine-like, almost hard to believe it's a cider. Definitely a gooseberry-esque wine sweetness coming through with mild sweet apple shades. Decent and hard to compare to any other cider out there.

75cl bottle from Trevibban Mill, shared with Soph in St Columb Major. Reddish hue to this with a light mist. Spritzy, very dry with a delicate fruitiness, no red grape notes, but has a nice appley linger on the finish. Pleasant Pet Nat but more fruitiness wouldn't go a miss.

Bottle at home, from Eversfield Farm shop, 21/01/21 taken down during the Paxton & Whitfield online cheese tasting ... with the Caerphilly I think. Clear copper pour with little in the way of a head. Nose is sharp apple, tannins, caramel, sweet notes. Taste comprises apple skins, toffee apple, bitter sweet apple, orchard wood, tannins. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Decent moorish affair ... masks the ABV well.
