Bottle from 7 Days shop, Crewe – as Svyturys Amber Vaguely some malts and grains in the nose. Pours a pale straw colour with a vigorous but transient white head. Body is chiefly sweet and malty but with some metallic undertones. Hints of ginger and lemon as well. A slightly dry finish. It’s a standard pilsener and is passable.

500ml bottle from Sofia Eastern European shop, Telford. Pours a hazed deep amber, frothy off-white head. Pleasant toffee amber malt nose. Rich toffee comes through to taste alongside some gentle nutty malt, but feels a bit light and thin overall. Fine Autumnal evening sipper.

500ml can. Pours almost clear gold with a medium-sized white head. Aroma is citrusy hops, wheat, some kind of herb. Taste is light sweet, citrus, wheat, watery. Light bitter finish.
