Bottle. Gold/red pour with thin scummy head. Caramelly aroma, but rather thin. Sweet flavour, thin bodied, with a rather watery finish

A very light yellow beer with a weak and white head. Aroma is quite sweet, corn, metallic and musty. Taste is extremely light, some lemon, even almost nonexistent taste but still musty. Light, soda light carbonation. Very worthless beer, light flavours and even them are quite unpleasant.

It’s Christmas Eve 2011 (21.00) and I thought I’d have something different: big mistake. Everything prepared for the big day, time for a well earned drink, choose the wrong one. The brown 500ml embossed bottle had a best before date of 02 Mar 2012 and was poured (3 times) into a Veltins Pilsner stemmed tulip. The bottle was impressive and promised so much, ’well packaged’ I suppose. The beer looked fine, deep golden colour with a good crown as a head on each pour, sadly they all became a wispy covering and collar far to quickly. The smell is alcohol and sugared cereals (wheat, corn, etc) with a yeasty undertone. The taste is a nasty mix of sweetness and alcohol, a headache in a bottle. I am getting that headache even as I write this review. I love Bock’s but this does nothing for me at all. It is an alcohol laden lager with no redeeeming features at all. It is the sort of beer that drunks pour down their throats on park benches.

33 cl bottle @ olio, BBE 19.11.2012 08:10 Thanks Tiong!
Aroma is slightly tart with some sweetish corn, hints of malt and nettles. Flavour is slightly tart, stinging and very short with some nettles and hints of corn. Watery finish and palate. I was surprised by the stinging flavour at the beginning, I thought this would be watery all the way.

330ml bottle from K-Supermarket Kamppi.

Pours clear and very light yellow with a foamy white head. Aroma of corn, stingy metallic notes, and bready malts. Taste is crisp and stingy with mild malty notes. Finish is short and carbonated with some metallic notes. Hints of soda. Not as bad as I thought it would be, but still far from enjoyable.

Originally rated March 2005. Bought this beer because it came from Lithuania and had won gold for best Dortmunder in the 2001 World Beer Championship. Does that really say much. No, but it was fun to buy anyways. Pours a pale yellow lager colour, slightly hazy with a white head that has medium retention. The lace is not bad and the scent is mostly malt. The taste is grainy and crisp. Not much bitterness and not much there. Now I can say that I’ve tried it.

Bottled 330ml (BB 11/2012)
Clear pale yellow color, steady small white head. Harsh sweetcorn/rice aroma. Soft palate. Corn, cardboard, some honey and as expected low bitterness. Similar to Corona or Sol. The biggest joke is that ultimate brand called Copen*hagen 56°N is actually brewed in Klaipeda 55°N!
