Holzfassgereifter Eisbock 2016. brown color, small white head. smells marzipan, nutty, light rummy, ripe fruits, raisins, figs, nice smell. full body, soft carbonation. tastes of vanilla, dried fruits, raisins, marzipan, nutty, light whisky. finishes lightly sweet with notes of vanilla, whisky and some dried fruits. nice one, good to drink, nice barrel notes, not overly complex, but good sipper. 7, 4, 7, 3, 16

Jahrgangsbock 2017. redish / brown color, small white head. smells earthy, marzipan, spices, peppery, nice smell. full body, soft carbonation. tastes earthy, grassy, light honey, bit peppery, tobacco, marzipan, nutty. finishes lightly sweet with notes of honey, tobacco and marzipan notes. prefer this one colder, gets a bit heavy when warm. good stuff 7, 4, 7, 3, 15

Süffiger, moderat süßer Beginn. Erfrischend limonadig ohne erkennbares Bier, kurzzeitig ist ein milder herber Einschlag im Hintergrund vorhanden. Spritzig, zitronig, leicht brotig im Abgang. 9/8/9/7/8/8

Colour clear deep amber, very fine bubbles, stable moussy off-white head, a thick foam layer remains, good lacing. Aroma strong toasted malt, caramel, orange marmalade, resinous hops. Complex taste, medium sweet and bitter, malty, caramel, orange marmalade, ripe fruits, quite resinous. Medium to full body, oily to creamy texture, soft carbonation, taste lingers on in the rich sweetbitter aftertaste, malty and resinous, great beer, very good indeed.
