[Bottle at the Bootlegger, High Wycombe] Pours a slightly hazy gold with a moderate white head. Strong biscuit taste throughout - a mix of digestives and malted milk - which is odd but quite nice and comforting. Some wheatiness too, and a late-arriving kick of sour lemon to balance the biscuit. Unusual, interesting and rather enjoyable.

Bottle. It’s a crystal clear, golden beer topped by a small, white head. The aroma is very malty, wort springs to mind, with some fruityness. It’s rather thin on the palate.and a tad low on carbonation. Dry, with flavors of pale malts, wort, some bitterness and green apples. A generic fruityness and some citrus too. Not very interesting this one, but not bad for an alcohol free one. 130217

Bottle, 75cl swingtop. It pours an almost clear one, amber to brown in color and with some light beige bubbles on top. It’s sweetish and caramel-ish on the nose, with alcohol notes and some canned fruits syrup. The flavor is quite sweetish, with caramel, some tropical fruits and a good bitterness. Warming and full-bodied, soft on the palate. Lasting warming and sweetish finish. A quite nice one, but lacking a bit on complexity. 130216
