Description
Our founder Oli Lemke welded his first own brewing plant in a friend’s garage in 1998. Infected by Oli’s euphoria, his friends turned into builders and helped to transform a derelict S-Bahn unit at the Hakescher Markt into a brewery. On the 21st November 1999 his dream became reality: The Brauhaus Lemke opened for the very first time.

Hazy dark pale golden beer, white head. Malty aroma, caramel, bread, hops, straw and some eggs in the nose. Flavour quite sweet, malty, light hops touch. Short finish. OK but nothing really special.
(Draught @ the Brauhaus - Hackesher Markt location)

Beer No. 39 on my tour through Austria, Germany and Denmark.
Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy yellow coloured, small white head, dusty herbal nose. Moderate malty, pleasant hoppy herbal and mild yeasty with traces of alcohol in rather bitter finish. By far the best beer I’ve tried here.

Draft @ Lemke, Mitte. Cuivre, blanche.
