Description
Our founder Oli Lemke welded his first own brewing plant in a friend’s garage in 1998. Infected by Oli’s euphoria, his friends turned into builders and helped to transform a derelict S-Bahn unit at the Hakescher Markt into a brewery. On the 21st November 1999 his dream became reality: The Brauhaus Lemke opened for the very first time.

Buddel (Dank an Martin M.!): Clear, copper coloured, thin off-white head, clean sweet caramelly nose with traces of toasted malt and dried fruits, mild herbal-hoppy background; moderate to robust sweet and bitter flavour, pretty full bodied, not overly soft; söightly lingering and slightly drier caramelly and dark-malty finish with mild warming alcohol in the aftertaste. Nothing wrong with it…

Deep grainy, easy to drink. Deep, moderate bitter with lots of wood and spirits. Deep, lots of malt with a deep and caramel grainy finish. --- Beer merged from original tick of MISCE Imperial Stout on 06 Apr 2021 at 23:37 - Score: 8. Original review text: Deep intense beginning. Tons of wood and spirits. Caramelly sticky back, soft and still easy to drink. Deep and fantastic.
