Hazy and red-brown body, with a fresh aroma with hints of hops and fruit. A soft flavor with hops and hops, that unfortunatly never reaches the far corner of the mouth. A good danish beer inspired by the belgian abbey ales.

A dark orange beer with a huge but collapsing off-white head. The aroma is sweet grassy, but also with yeasty and dusty notes. The flavor is very sweet with notes of coriander, yeast, fruit (peaches), lemon, and alcohol. The mouthfeel is smooth, but slightly sticky - the alcohol kind of lingers.

Bottled(700ml). -cooper coloured, little head, strong fruity aroma with strong banana and mild toffee notes with great spicy hints, very good and easy drinkable abbey

Bottle. Hazy green gold colour with thin white head. Attractive lemon wit beer aroma with touch of gtreen apple. Nice acids in mouth. Very drinkable. Lemon citric hop finish

[Draft at the brewery] A nut brown beer with a thin orange head. The aroma is sweet and slightly dusty and nutty. The flavor is slightly acidic with notes of lemon combined with quite a lot of wood and toffee, leading to a dry bitter end. The carbonation prickles the tongue. It is served way too cold for my liking.

[Draft at the brewery] A hazy nut brown beer with nice orange head. The aroma is very sweet with strong notes of alcohol, but also hops and citrus. The flavor is extremely sweet - almost cloying - with notes of alcohol, and prunes, as well as hints of wood and cloves. The sweetness sticks to the lips. It is served way too cold at the brewery for my liking, and also way too carbonated. To me it has no reminicence with Christmas - too me it is just another Strong Belgian Ale.

(Bottle 75 cl) Beautiful reddish amber with a creamy, off-white head. Incredibly spicy aroma - cinnamon, cardamom, cloves and allspice. Sweetish malty without much bitterness. An unusual brew with all sorts of odd ingredients like oats, prune juice and fennel. But very christmasy indeed. 181105

Bottle at London Gathering Nov 05. Russsety brown colour with no head. Candy sugar and brown sugar aroma and in mouth. Bit sweet. Just a bit "ucky" with the sweet brown sugar. Quite nice for a dark lager though.

Bottled. Dark golden with a small offwhite head. Sweet and malty aroma with some alcohol. Warming, sweet malty flavor with a light bitterness at the end. Full body. Carlsberg gets points for trying, but I am not over-impressed by their beers. Maybe it is because they don’t always follow the styles, or maybe it is because it is Carlsberg. The beers are not bad, they just don’t appeal that much to me. (051028)
